Regular draws: from entries to the winning result

Start with the dates in the terms

A regular draw is the familiar format where you enter a promotion and wait for the winner to be selected later. The terms should tell you when entries close, when the draw takes place and how the outcome will be communicated.

Check the time zone as well as the date. A promotion with weekly or monthly draws may have a separate entry cut-off for each round. The entry confirmation lets you know your submission has been received; it is not a winning result.

Promoters who explain these dates plainly help customers know what to expect, without having to search through messages or guess when to check back.

Eligible entries form the draw pool

The organiser’s rules determine which entries are eligible and any limits per person or purchase. SafeDraw^™ connects the organiser’s or provider’s technology with the draw process, so entries and the returned outcome can be connected through the surrounding systems.

An accurate entry pool matters. Eligibility checks, entry counts and the treatment of duplicates should follow the published rules. The random selection service draws from the pool supplied to it; those preparation steps remain part of running the promotion properly.

Selection happens at the stated draw time

For regular draws, SafeDraw^™ uses TPAL’s Electronic Draw System for random selection. TPAL’s regular-draw service supports selection from an entry pool, including draws scheduled for a later time. Its system is named in electronic drawing approval 1224.

A regular draw may use entry numbers as references, but they are not a preallocated set of winning numbers waiting to be revealed. Selection happens when the draw is performed. SafeDraw^™’s instant-win allocation and seven-day automatic reveal are features of a different format.

Follow the result through to the claim

SafeDraw^™ connects the returned draw outcome to the participant-facing result experience. An interactive presentation displays that outcome; it does not run a second selection or change who was drawn.

Read the organiser’s notification and claim instructions. A selected entry may still need to meet eligibility requirements, provide qualifying evidence or respond by a deadline. Keep your confirmation and any relevant receipt until those steps are complete.
