THE KEY POINT
Joining the newsletter is optional. Provide your name and email address, choose to receive updates, and use the unsubscribe link if you later change your mind.
Choose whether you want to hear from us
The SafeDraw™ newsletter is for people who would like news and updates about the platform. The sign-up asks for your name and email address, with a separate consent box that starts unticked.
Read the consent wording, check your email address and tick the box if you would like to subscribe. You can browse the whole website and read every guide without joining the list.
Signing up for news does not enter you into a promotion or give you an extra entry. A promotion has its own organiser, terms and entry process. Keeping those choices separate makes it easier to understand what each form is for.
Know what your details are used for
Your name and email address allow the team to send the updates you have requested. The website’s Privacy page explains how website submissions are handled, including the services involved in storing details and sending email.
The business and regulatory enquiry form has a separate purpose: professional discussions about the platform, integrations and regulatory matters. Sending one of those enquiries does not subscribe the sender to the newsletter.
If you are entering a promotion elsewhere, read that organiser’s privacy information as well. The details collected for an entry may serve a different purpose from a newsletter subscription on this website.
Unsubscribe when you choose
Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Use it to stop future newsletter emails when they are no longer useful to you. There is no need to send a business enquiry to leave the mailing list.
ACMA’s guidance explains that marketing messages need consent, must identify the sender and must make unsubscribing easy. Unsubscribe requests must be honoured within five working days without asking for extra personal information or requiring an account.
Unsubscribing from this newsletter does not withdraw an entry in a separate promotion. Any entry or prize question should go to the organiser using the support details in that promotion’s terms.
Keep different records in context
A newsletter subscription and a promotion entry are different records. SafeDraw™’s three-year audit retention statement concerns product entries and results; it does not set the retention period for newsletter subscriptions or business enquiries.
The Privacy page is the place to read the website’s data-handling information. The OAIC’s guide below also explains the purpose of a privacy policy and the kinds of information it should make clear.
